We are delighted to showcase a brand-new website for the Central Coast YMCA. This YMCA is an association of five branches serving the Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties, with an impact that reaches more than 40,000 people. A unique aspect of this YMCA website project was showcasing each location under the Central Coast YMCA (CCY) umbrella with a microsite highlighting the unique programs, facilities, and community offerings at each branch.

• The website design is custom-made to be mobile-friendly, adapting to all device types. 
• You will also notice the YMCA uses brand-compliant colors on the main website and across each branch microsite.
• Each site’s homepage overviews the different program offerings and events people can attend and join. 
• On CCY’s homepage are tiles promoting membership, day camps, child care, and other programs with a featured image and call to action for members to quickly access and register.

Featured Web Pages

• A must-see from this new website launch is the location pages for each branch under the CCY umbrella: Salinas Family YMCA, Watsonville Family YMCA, YMCA of San Benito County, and YMCA of the Monterey Peninsula.  
• The Salinas Aquatic Center and Sherwood Tennis Center landing pages at Salinas Family YMCA showcase each facility’s schedules, program overviews, hours, fees, and reservations.
• Donations are vital for YMCAs. The Donate page does a great job of conveying how financial contributions impact the community. Visitors also have the option to choose which CCY branch they would like to donate to. There are also options for individuals to apply for financial assistance.     

Intuitive and Easy-to-Use Navigation

• The main navigation is very simple, guiding users to find a location, membership, and about CCY. Donate and join are prominently placed in the main menu to ensure these important actions are easily accessible to visitors.
• From CCY’s left utility navigation, visitors can quickly find the branch they want. Each location’s name is paired with a YMCA brand-compliant color.
• The navigation categories on each CCY location microsite vary based on the branch’s programs, facilities, and community events.
